Mission, Vision & Values

Mission: The New Jersey Abortion Access Fund advances abortion access and bodily autonomy by funding abortions for people traveling to, from, and within New Jersey.

Vision: The New Jersey Abortion Access Fund envisions a world where everyone has the freedom and resources to create lives, families, and communities rooted in justice, safety, and joy, and where abortion access and bodily autonomy are guaranteed for all, regardless of identity, geography, or socioeconomic status.

Values:

• Pro-Abortion: NJAAF is unapologetically pro-abortion, and honors each person’s abortion experience as unique without stigma or shame.

• Accessibility: Abortion care should be available for all people in any circumstance, and NJAAF expands access by removing financial and logistical barriers to care.

• Autonomy: Every person has the human right to make decisions about their own body, and to make those decisions free from restriction or coercion by individuals or systems.

• Inclusivity: People of all identities seek abortions, and NJAAF intentionally elevates the access, rights, and experiences of those who are typically marginalized in mainstream abortion narratives and advocacy.

• Collaboration: NJAAF finds strength in collective power, and builds solidarity with and within our communities, sibling organizations, and all those dedicated to our collective liberation.

• Liberation: NJAAF understands that expanding abortion access is just one aspect of a broader vision toward comprehensive reproductive, racial, gender, and economic justice. We seek freedom from oppressive power structures and demand that all individuals have the necessary resources and equal opportunity to pursue the lives and pregnancy outcomes they desire.
